- A PreBid Meeting will be held on 22 July 2009, at 10:00 a.m. The PreBid Meeting will be held at the parking area adjacent to the old Gulfport fire station on 2nd Street (North of Highway 34) (Latitude 40 degrees 48 minutes 42 seconds/Longitude: minus 91 degrees 05 minutes 10 seconds). The meeting is to discuss the Henderson County Drainage District No. 1 Levee Repairs (PL84-99), Stage IIIA, Mississippi River, Henderson County, Illinois and to provide an opportunity for contractors to visit the site. Offerors are encouraged to attend this prebid meeting. Hard hats and protective footwear are required. Make arrangements at least 24 hours prior to the meeting with: Mr. Mike Edwards, US Army Corps of Engineers, Keokuk Resident Office, River City Mall, Suite No. 500, 300 Main Street, Keokuk, IA 52632 Telephone Number: 319-524-2394 (Collect calls not accepted) The work includes, but is not limited to: Placing, grading, shaping, and compacting of levee repair embankment material by hydraulic dredging or by other means, and placement of stone protection materials (bedding stone and riprap). This procurement will be issued as a Total HUBZone set aside. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 and the size standard is $33.5 million average annual gross revenue. The estimated price range of the project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Completion: 75 calendar days after notice to proceed. It is anticipated that the plans and specifications for this procurement will be available on www.fbo.gov on or about July 13, 2009. Any contractor wanting the plans and specifications must download them from this site.
