- Description
- Provide an 1851 Era Dragoon Soldier dress uniform that would have been worn for formal military occasions, such as a dress parade. The dress uniform components will consist of the shako, which is a tall hat with a horsehair plume. The dress jacket will include a rope that goes around neck underneath shoulder and hooks on to the left button of the jacket. Jacket will have shoulder scales to be included on the jacket along with all original buttons on front of jacket as well as on each sleeve. Shako will have a leather chin strap. The insignia on the hat must be that of an Alpha Company insignia. The waist belt and saber belt must be intact and made of original leather. Uniform must be free of obvious defects, alterations or other adjustments and be free of dirt, debris or holes. All interested parties must identify their socio-economic category at the time of response to this submission. This sources sought notice is for planning purposes only. This announcement is not a request for Proposal nor an Invitation for Bid. Solicitation may or may not be issued and this synopsis does not commit the Government to award a contract.
