- This amendment is issued to establish the date for a pre-proposal site visit for solicitation SP3300-09-R-0036 at Defense Distribution Depot, Bldg 143, 6th floor, Code X Conference room, Norfolk, VA. A site visit shall be help at 10:00 EST., Thursday, 23 July 2009. Due to security measures currently in place on this installation, anyone planning to attend the site visit needs to provide the following information to Vonda DeBolt, Phone: 717-770-6145, Fax: 717-770-7591, or E-mail: vonda.debolt@dla.mil by close of business 21 July 2009. This information must be submitted prior to the site visit date. Failure to submit this information in the timeframe requested above may result in delays upon your arrival at the installation: Company Name Employee Name Employee Social Security Number Employee Date of Birth Employee State and Country of Birth On the date of the site visit, employee will need to present at least one (1) form of photo identification, i.e., valid driver’s license. The employee will also need to present current registration and insurance for each vehicle entering the installation. A draft solicitation will be posted to Federal Business Opportunity web site prior to 23 July 2009. The intent of this project is to provide the necessary services, labor, material, equipment and control components to install an Automatic Weight and Offer System (AWOS) in Bldg W-143 at Defense Distribution Depot Norfolk, VA. The contractor shall also provide three (3) classes, four (4) hours each, on-site training in the operation of contractor supplied system components. The contractor shall provide a warranty for one year after final acceptance by the government. While this is a non-construction effort, the Davis Bacon Act shall apply to certain parts of the scope of work. This requirement is subject to the availability of funds. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Procedures. The Period of Performance is 150 days from date of contract award. This procurement shall be set-aside for small business companies. All responsible certified small business entities may submit a proposal and it shall be considered by this agency. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 333922 and the size standard is 500 employees. A pre-proposal conference/site visit is anticipated; further information will be in the solicitation. To receive awards resulting from this solicitation, your company MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov.
