- Description
- The Institute for Water Resources (IWR) is a US Army Corps of Engineers element established to conduct research, policy, program, and economic analyses, training and technical assistance to the Corps headquarters and Corps district and division offices. Support is rendered through the IWR various divisions at Humphrey Engineer Center Alexandria, Virginia. Major responsibilities of IWR include analysis of long term water resources trends and needs, strategic planning for the Corps Civil Works program, development of methods and models to evaluate, formulate, and manage water transportation and water resources plans and projects and conduct policy and program analyses to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the civil works program. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to competitively award a single or multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract(s) for technical services in support of independent peer reviews for its water resources projects. The legislative requirement for independent peer reviews stipulates that the contractor be an eligible organization including having the status of a 501(c) (3). Contract awards will be one year with four option years. All requests for proposals must be in writing and reference W912HQ-09-R-0007. Anticipated release date of the RFP will be on or about 27 July 2009. Proposals will be due 30 days from the release date. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency.
