Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW theformat in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N65236-09-R-0096 is issued as a RFP. The items required under this procurement are for the purchasing of approximately seventy-five (75) new spectrum analyzers and turning in the existing spectrum analyzers, Agilent Model E4407S-E57, currently used for support of Tri-band DMCS Satcom terminals to Model 8564 EC Spectrum Analyzers needed to support the new quad-band DMCS Satcom terminals. The Agilent spectrum analyzers currently in inventory covered the frequency range up to 26.5 GHZ which was sufficient for the original tri-band (C0, X- and Ku-) DMCS terminals. However, these units are currently being upgraded to add a Ka-Band capability which requires a spectrum analyzer that can cover the frequency at least up to 31.0 HHz. The Agilent 8564 EC (OR EQUAL) has a frequency range that covers up to 40 GHz which meets the new requirements. FACTOR A: 1.
