Description

Please see the attachement. The Department of Homeland Security intends to issue a sole source contract to Field Support Service, Inc. (FSSI), 6303 Ivy Lane, Suite 130, Greenbelt, MD 20770-1479 for the requirement of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support services for the Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC) in Orient, NY. FSSI is the only company that can provide these services as not to disrupt the current DHS/PIADC mission. Based on the foregoing, this requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated type of contract is a cost plus award fee (CPAF) contract with one 9-month base and three 1-month options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
