- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals for a design build for a Research Building Animal Facility Upgrade. Contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to perform the four tasks for this service. The four tasks consist of: Task-1 Design Phase / Task-2 Preparatory Phase / Task-3 Build Phase / Task-4 Sterilizer Installation. The cost range for this service is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The NAICS code for this service is 236220, size standard $31.0 million. This announcement is set aside for total small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. To schedule a pre-proposal conference /site visit please contact the Contracting Specialist via e-mail before July 15, 2009. Electronic solicitation documents will be made available in electronic format only through the VA website at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Contractors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. Proposals are due to the Contracting Specialist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington, DC 20422, Room 3D233 by July 30, 2009 at 2:00PM local time (EDT).
