- Description
- Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, 601 Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, Iowa, 52246, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the renovation of 2700 sq. ft. of existing shell space on the 3rd floor of building 40 to include offices, conference space, cubicles, reception area, restrooms, and break room. Contractor to provide all tools, materials, equipment, necessary for completion of general construction project number: 636A8-09-901 "Renovate for VRHRC", in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes minor demolition and alterations to walls, ceilings, floors, general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls work, telecom, security, and other certain items. This procurement is 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business SET-ASIDE under Public Law 109-461. Solicitation VA-263-09-IB-0302 and specifications will be made available on Federal Business Opportunities (below) on or about July 31, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and information necessary to bid the project and will be made available in electronic format only through the VA's portion of Federal Business Opportunities web site at (search for the solicitation number or VA-263): https://www.fbo.gov/index Tentative bid opening date is August 31, 2009. There will be a pre-bid meeting and site visit scheduled at a later date and poster here, on FBO. Cost range is anticipated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS code 238220, size standard 13 million. Bid bonds will be required. It is recommended that on the Fed Biz Ops website you click on the buttons to add yourself to "Watch List" and "Interested Vendors" before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued regarding this solicitation will only be available on the website. Contractors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments.
