- Description
- The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, and any items or services necessary to perform mess attendant services at Tyndall AFB, FL. Period of performance shall be for one base year and a maximum of three option years. Contractor shall perform in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration Food Code and conform to the professional standards identified in the performance work statement. Contractor shall be responsible for the proper preparation and serving of various foods as well as performing typical kitchen and dining facility operations (ex. cleaning both facility and utensils, performing cashier services, bussing tables, minor equipment maintenance, etc.). Operations will be conducted simultaneously at both a dining facility and a quick turnaround style kitchen both located on Tyndall AFB. It is estimated that the two facilities combine to serve approximately 26,000-28,000 meals per month. Proposed solicitation shall be conducted as a competitive 8(a) procurement and will be limited to only those business concerns registered as an 8(a) company with the Small Business Administration. Solicitation release date is anticipated to be released on or around 31 Jul 09. 8(a) firms are highly encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program.
