- THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command; Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) (AIR 2.5.1.3), Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127 intends to obtain, on a sole source basis with Wyle Laboratories, 7800 Highway 20 West, Huntsville, AL 35806, six (6) months of extended effort under existing contract N00421-04-C-0121 which provides specialized technical support to the AIR 4.3 Structures Division. This requirement does not increase the ceiling value of the existing contract. The continuation of services fulfills an existing need until efforts currently on-going under the instant contract are completed. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10, U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and is in accordance with the terms of clauses FAR 52.217-8 and FAR 52.217-9. While this notice of intent is for information purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this requirement, and submit information, which shall be considered by the NAWCAD.
