Small Business Set-Aside
The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed requirement will be awarded under a Firm Fixed Price contract, "brand name". The contractor shall provide eight (8) Motorola XTS5000 Digital Portable Radio (radios) from Motorola to be used to interface the Motorola XTL radios used by both the City of Virginia Beach and Fort Story Fire & Police Departments. Delivery will be to Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire & Emergency Services, Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA. FOB point is destination. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 334290. The size standard is 750. The delivery period is within approximately 30 days following contract award. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is N00189-09-T-0395. The RFQ, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. When the Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued, it may be downloaded by accessing http://www.neco.navy.mil. The RFQ will be available on 16 July 2009. The NECO website has a "submit bid" button next to the solicitation number. DO NOT use the "submit bid" button on NECO to submit your proposal. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
