Description
Recovery Act Acquisition, Steam Pipe Deficiencies, Project No. R673-09-601. This Notice is issued subject to the requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5 and 38 U.S.C. section 8127. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Size standard under NAICS 236220 is $33.5 million; project Cost Range is from $100,000 to $250,000. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James A. Haley, 13000 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Tampa, Fl. Solicitation will be available on or about July 30, 2009. Requirement: Project No. R673-09-601, titled Steam Pipe Deficiencies. Provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, specialty services, supervision, and tools to complete the project. Work includes general construction inside and outside of an occupied building, demolition, alterations, mechanical work, electrical work, plumbing work, equipment removal and installation, utility systems, and certain other items of work required by the drawings and specifications. Work generally consists of replacement of defective steam distribution system components, including insulation, steam traps, control devices, and the installation of a boiler blow down heat recovery unit.
