DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation No. F4F2AA9140A001 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-29. The associated NAICS Code is 337910 SIZE STANDARD 500. This RFQ has TWO line items, and they are to ship to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. 45433-5309 (detail location will be provided when the PO is awarded). Item 1: Qty 95 of industry standard X-Long Twin two sided mattress/box spring sets 9" height (inner spring with formed wire box spring, wood framed) for dormitory building Item 2: Qty 368 of industry standard X-Long Full size two sided mattress/box spring sets 9" height (inner spring with formed wire box spring, wood framed) for dormitory building The quote should include the cost of shipping/freight. Please note that there will be a Point Of Contact provided once the PO is awarded to further communicate on specific delivery instruction. There is no staging on site for any installation, therefore, the items should be all installed when delivered and ready to move into the rooms. Please specify your delivery lead time when responding to this synopsis/solicitation. DFARS 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests 5352.223-9000, Elimination of Use of Class I Ozone Depleting Substances (ODSs) 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). (c) If resolution cannot be made by the contracting officer, concerned parties may contact the Center/MAJCOM ombudsmen,Howard E.
