- The Defense Distribution Center (DDC) has a requirement for adhesive thermal transfer labels in sizes 4” x 6” inch and 4” x 2” inch with embedded passive RFID (pRFID) antenna and chip (also known as a passive tag) to meet EPC Global Class 1, Generation II standards, ISO 18000-6C. Additionally, ribbons for the pRFID printers, the Printronix SL4M and Zebra 110Xi, will be procured. The government intends to issue a request for proposals for an estimated 36,800,000 4x2 labels, 21,800,000 4x6 labels, and 18,300 ribbons over a three year period. The labels and ribbons will be used for the following Defense Distribution Centers: Defense Distribution Center Anniston, Al (DDAA) Defense Distribution Center Albany, GA (DDAG) Defense Distribution Center Barstow, CA (DDBC) Defense Distribution Center Cherry Point, NC (DDCN) Defense Distribution Center Corpus Christy, TX (DDCT) Defense Distribution Center San Diego, CA (DDDC) Defense Distribution Center Hill, UT (DDHU) Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin, CA (DDJC) Defense Distribution Center Jacksonville, FL (DDJF) Defense Mapping Activity (DDMA) Defense Distribution Center Norfolk, VA (DDNV) Defense Distribution Center Oklahoma, OK (DDOO) Defense Distribution Center Puget Sound, WA (DDPW) Defense Distribution Center Red River, TX (DDRT) Defense Distribution Center Richmond, VA (DDRV) Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) Defense Distribution Center Tobyhanna, PA (DDTP) Defense Distribution Center Warner Robins, GA (DDWG) Defense Distribution Center Pearl Harbor, HI (DDPH) Defense Distribution Center Europe (DDDE) Defense Distribution Center Guam Marianas (DDGM) Defense Distribution Center Korea (DDDK) Defense Distribution Center Kuwait Southwest Asia (DDKS) Defense Distribution Center Sigonella Italy (DDSI) Defense Distribution Center Yokosuka Japan (DDYJ) The government intends to award a multiple requirements contract for a period of three years to accomplish the procurement and delivery of the labels and ribbons referenced above. The estimated quantities stated above are not guaranteed quantities; individual delivery orders will be placed when the government has a requirement for the labels and ribbons. This is a small business set aside. The applicable NAICs code is 322222. The size standard is 500 employees. All interested and responsible parties may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Defense Distribution Center. The solicitation number is SP3300-09-R-0043, and it will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities Website on or about August 26, 2009.
