Description
RECOVERY -- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W9127N-09-D-0004. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Portland District (USACE - Portland) intends to issue a Task Order 6 under contract W9127N-09-D-0004 to CH2M Hill/Inca JV for Bonneville Navigation Lock Control System Replacement Plans and Specifications using Recovery Act funding. The existing navigation lock control system was part of the original Bonneville Second Navigation Lock construction and placed in service in 1993. It utilizes the Sy/Max line of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipment manufactured by Square-D. It consists of two processors, one for the navigation lock and one for the swing bridge, five input/output (I/O)racks enclosures, two lock control stands, and one remote monitoring station located in the powerhouse control room. There are two lock control stands and one swing bridge control stand. The primary lock control stand and swing bridge control stand are located at the downstream (D/S) end of the lock and the second lock control stand is located at the upstream (U/S) end of the lock. New technologies have forced the obsolescence of many of the Sy/Max modules. The manufacturer continues to support the product line but is focusing on helping customers to convert to their new product line.
