- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for software maintenance services. The servicemaintenance is for the Smart Sockets RT Servers which support the Fermi Gamma-ray SpaceTelescope (FGST) mission operations ground system. The service maintenance providesupgrades and/or security of FGST Mission Operation interface. This interface wasspecifically designed for this telescope.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the services from TIBCO Software Inc., pursuant to FAR13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonable availablefrom only one source.Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon July 22, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.
