- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Applicable NAICS code is 334112, 1,000 employee size standard. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure the following commercial item: CLIN 0001 - 2 EACH, Storage Servers. Each storage server shall meet the following mandatory specifications/requirements: 19 inch Rack mountable in a chassis that is =<6U; 2/each Intel Xeon x5570 QC 2.93GHz/6.4GTs QPI/95w (Nehalem) processors; 40/each Hot-Swap/Hot Spare SATA300 drive bays; have both upper and lower exhaust fans; have Upper Deck Side Blowers; all fans will be HOT SWAP compliant; have Buzzer Alarm for fan failure and overheat warning; have a 5-year warranty on parts and labor with no return hard drive policy; and be shipped with NO Operating System. The following storage server specifications/requirements are highly desirable and encouraged for each storage server: 2/each redundant 1350W Hot Swap Power supplies; 12/each 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC w/Thermal (24GB); 2/each Seagate 80GB RAID 1 Hard Drives for the Operating System; 32/each Seagate 1TB ES.2 SATA 3Gb/s 32MB (RAID 5, 6); 2/each Dual IOP638 1200MHz PCI Express SAS 3.0Gb/s RAID Controllers (512MD DDR2-533 SDRAM with ECC protection per controller) 6+4 x SFF-8087 for Internal Dive Arrays; Dual 1 x SFF-8088 for External SAS Connectivity; EXPANSION SLOTS - 1 PCI-E 2.0x16, 2 PCI-E 20x8, 2 PCI-E x4, 2 PCI 32bit/33 MHz (2 PCI Slots populated with SAS controllers); 4/each (Quad) Intel 82576 Gigabit LAN card; LSI 1068E 8-Port SAS Controller, LSI Integrated RAID 0,1,10 support Dual External SAS connectors (SFF-8087); EXPANSION BAYS 1 x 5.25 inch drive bay, 1 x 3.5 inch drive bay, 1 x 3.5 inch slim drive bay, 2 x 5.25 inch drive bays, 40 x 3.5 inch x 1 inch drive bays, 2 x 3.! 5 inch x 1 inch rear drive bays. The Government will consider offers from all responsible small businesses which evidence the ability to provide storage servers meeting the required salient equipment specifications and characteristics. Vendors will submit all technical data/information in support of offers for Government evaluation purposes. Pricing should be FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 6220 Tisdale Road, Suite 159, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Quote must include any applicable shipping charges. Include warranty terms for items quoted. This order shall be a firm-fixed price purchase order. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 13. DFAR 252.211-7003 (Item Identification and Valuation) is applicable to this purchase. Provide best estimate in quote for delivery after receipt of order (ARO). The closing date for submission of quotes is 23 July 2009, no later than 2:00PM local NSWCDD time.
