VA may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the monthly or hourly rates (for base year and/or option year) are significantly unbalanced. PRICE/COST: SOW FOR TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT SOLUTION Contractor shall provide 2 or more Junior Engineers for 20-40 hours/week support in a technical and administrative capacity over the next 6 months. The Engineers at a minimum will possess a BS Degree in Engineering, preferably pursuing or completed Masters level coursework in Biomedical Engineering. The nature of the work requires the engineers to have previous experience in a hospital setting. Work assigned to these temporary positions will be done with minimal supervision or oversight, therefore we request that at least one engineer possess supervisory experience to oversee the contractor's other Junior Bio-Med Engineer. The junior engineers will work as an independent team associated to clinical engineering department and to that end we prefer prior knowledge of PACS systems, BCMA, thermometry, and other related biomedical devices. Ideal candidates should have a background and knowledge of the VA's AMES/MER Equipment database. This request is being made to fill an emergency void in resources at VA Connecticut. The vendor will provide the VA Medical Center with services located at the West Haven and Newington Campus with the following Service Agreement: Page 7 of 56
