- RECOVERY - PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUIREMENT TO DESIGN, VALIDATE AND MAINTAIN SEVERAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SYSTEMS TO DEVELOP TOOLS AND METHODOLOGIES TO FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION OF ELECTRONIC DATA EXCHANGE STANDARDS, AND TO DEVELOP STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE SMARTGRID PROJECT FOR THE EEEL DATABASE. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to conduct this acquisition as a total small business set aside utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The NAICS Code is 541690. The size standard is $7.0 million. NIST intends to post a solicitation consisting of a period of performance of five (5) years for and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for contractor support to NIST's Electronic and Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EEEL) for the above requirement on or about July 31, 2009. Potential Offerors will be responsible for obtaining this solicitation and related Amendments, if any, from www.fbo.gov after the solicitation has been posted. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of each potential Offeror to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendments or other information related to the solicitation; the Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. Any communications regarding this acquisition must be made in writing and forwarded via email to janine.kerns@nist.gov, and shall identify the solicitation number, company name, company address, as well as point of contact email address and phone number. Offerors shall be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov, in order to be eligible to receive a contract under this acquisition. NIST anticipates posting the solicitation fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this notice (or as soon as possible thereafter). NIST estimates that this acquisition will be valued between $3 million and $4 million.
