- Description
- The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has a requirement for staffing support for projects in the Library Services and Content Management (LSCM) department. These projects require professional librarians and support personnel with skills in the field of library and information science. Work will be performed on-site at GPO's main office in Washington, D.C. Staffing will be required for a variety of projects. The initial project will be to transcribe metadata from approximately 900,000 shelflist cards from GPO's Historic Shelflist into MARC 21 format for loading into the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP), the GPO's online catalog. This initial project is expected to run for 1-2 years. Other projects requiring staffing support may be performed at the same time as the Historic Shelflist Project and may be of shorter duration. A solicitation, with a detailed Statement of Work, will be posted within the next several days.
