- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Thermo Scientific/Cellomics, Inc, 100 Technology Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, to purchase a CatalystXpress Robotic Plate Handling Module for ArrayScan VTI-Random Access Hotel (45 plate capacity), Polara software, gripper and mounting plate. Permits robust automation of plate delivery to the ArrayScan and full software integration for walk-away operation. This specific machine is requested due to compatibility with existing ArrayScan VTI HCS reader, and will enable full automation, data collection, and improvement of time efficiency in the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
