Description
Site Visit Notice Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska has a requirement for removal/demolition of five above-ground tanks at King Salmon Air Station, Alaska. The awarded contract will be a firm fixed price commercial contract. The contractor shall furnish all services, materials, supplies, equipment, investigations, studies, project supervision, and travel as required in connection with the performance work statement and all furnished and referenced design instructions. The contractor shall remove/demolish two 214,000 gallon fuel tanks and three 50,000 gallon de-icer fluid tanks (including associated foundations and supports) and place the unsalvaged debris in the existing Air Force landfill facility. Demolition is defined as the following: (1) Tearing down completely all facilities identified to include removal of foundations, floating slab, all associated utilities, and footings two feet below grade. (2) Remove all demolished debris to the nearest approved landfill. (3) Inventory of all demolished debris including type, quantity by weight and volume, and location moved to. (4) Regrade the demolished area for positive drainage. (5) Provide a detailed computer-generated site drawing showing the locations of all demolished facilities and utilities. (6) Provide three benchmarks, minimum, for purposes of future identification and facility location. Place benchmarks on site drawings identified in (5) above. Request for proposal number FA5000-09-R-0035 will be available for download at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at www.fbo.gov on or about 17 July 2009. This action is a 100 percent HUBZone small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910; small business size standard is $14 million. This acquisition will be made under Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 13 using performance-price trade-off procedures. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package; no paper copies will be furnished. Recommend interested parties register at www.fbo.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Offers must be submitted according to the instructions to offerors in solicitation provision 52.212-1. The successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database.
