- PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), DHHS/CDC/NIOSH, 626 Cochrans Mill Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236-0070, has a requirement for a Cosmed K4 b2 portable system for intrapulmonary gas exchange analysis. This requirement is solicited as a small business set-aside. The CDC intends to award a single Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13. The delivery is required by August 31, 2009. Cosmed K4 b2 portable system for intrapulmonary gas exchange analysis with breath by breath technology and will do the measurement of the cardio-respiratory response either in the field or in the lab. To measure physiological response in the field without limitation. Pulmonary Gas Exchange (VO2, VCO2), Telemetry Data Transmission up to 800m. Indirect Calorimetry, Integrated GPS System, Integrated Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Integrated 12-lead Stress Testing ECG, Windows Software, and Cardio Pulmonary Exercise Testing. Integrated LCD for calibrating and showing data during field testing without the need of a PC. The Data Recorder, main unit, needs to have a high capacity memory (16.000 breaths). At the conclusion of the test all data needs to be downloaded to the PC for analysis and presentation. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted.
