- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Atlas Copco Hurricane LLC, Franklin IN for the procurement of spare parts and a Repair of Repairables (ROR) effort for the Portable Air Compressor. The spares requirement is intended to support 221 units over a two year period. The ROR effort will be limited to the PAC engine and also covers a two year period. A rotatable pool providing a minimum of two spare Ready-For-Issue (RFI) engines is anticipated. Atlas Copco Hurricane as the manufacturer of the PAC is the only known firm with the knowledge, expertise and technical data required to militarize the spares and repair the engine while ensuring proper integration and interface of the spares and engine within the PAC unit. A firm-fixed price modification to Contract N68335-07-D-0015 is anticipated. The Government intends to procure the spares and ROR effort under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
