- The purpose of this RFQ solicitation for commercial items uploaded concurrently with this synopsis is: For the Ferron Fuels Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) under the USFS Stewardship Authority. The project includes: Cutting, skidding and decking of 63 acres of non-commercial trees; Weeding and thinning of 48 acres; Lopping and fuel rearrangement of slash on 63 acres: The timber to removed consists of 224 CCR of dead spruce and 97 CCF of live sub-alpine fir. The location of this project is on the Ferron Ranger District of the Manti-La Sal National Forest in eastern Utah. The project area surrounds the Ferron Summer Home special use administrative area. Road access is the Ferron Canyon Road, FS Road 50022 and is 22 miles from Ferron, Utah. The project is in and around the summer home area, south of FS Road 50022. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet via FedBizOpps (FBO) if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 208-765-7229. Fax requests should reference solicitation RFQ-AG-84N8-S-09-0150 Ferron Fuels. Telephone or email requests will not be honored. Any subsequent amendments will be posted on FBO only. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 45 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project. In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). To register your firm in the CCR system, go to: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. To register your firm in the ORCA system, go to: http://www.bpn.gov.
