- This is an unrestricted acquisition for the procurement of shipping and storage containers classified under National Stock Numbers (NSN) 8150-01-500-5873 (approximately 186 ea) and NSN 8150-01-500-5877 (approximately 120 ea). The acquisition will be conducted utilizing the procedures specified under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items IAW FAR 13.5. The award will be a one time Firm Fixed Price Contract. The Government may make more than one award. The required delivery schedule is 75 days. The destination is Goose Creek, SC. The item description will cite salient characteristics - "brand name or equal" and the RFP will include FAR clause 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. The RFP will be posted on or about 7/17/2009 and will remain open for approximately 6 days. The anticipated award date is 9/4/2009. Copies of the solicitation can be found on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. From DIBBS homepage, select "Search RFP's". A search may be conducted on a number of data elements. Run search and choose the RFQ you wish to view and download. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF), so in order to access these documents you will need to install latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available for free at http://www.adobe.com. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by DSCP. The acquisition is subject to the requirements of the Trade Agreements Act (Numbered Note 12). ADEQUATE DATA FOR THE EVALUATION OF ALTERNATE OFFERS IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE PROCUREMENT AGENCY. THE OFFEROR MUST PROVIDE A COMPLETE DATA PACKAGE INCLUDING DATA FOR THE APPROVED AND ALTERNATE PART FOR EVALUATION.
