- In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform the industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with I3 (I-Cubed) Partners, LLC via single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract with a period of performance of one year, to I3 (I-Cubed) Partners, LLC. This contract will support the following: a. Strategic planning in support of the Vice President, Technical Operationsb. Planning support to the FAA Director, FAA Safety and Operations Supportc. Process improvement support to the Manager, Business Management Group, Safety and Operations Support, including budget management, planning, and various management team initiativesd. Program management support A competitive procurement for these services will be issued in FY 10. A bridge is needed to provide continuity and fulfill the immediate requirements of the Service Operational Support - 6 (SOS) Business Management Group, until a new contract is competitively awarded. The implementation of a one-year bridge contract fulfills the requirement for a best value action and will aid the FAA in it's pursuit of the competitive award. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above service. The FAA will evaluate this accordingly.
