- Description
- The 96 Contracting Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a requirement for a Diet Technician at Eglin Hospital. The Diet Technician provides food and nutrition services to patients under the guidance of a registered dietitian. Primary responsibilities include conducting nutrition screening and routine nutrition assessments; developing and implementing nutrition care plans for assigned patients; providing individualized or group nutrition education; monitoring quality and accuracy of food served to patients; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice. The Dietetic Technician shall be required to assist in treating patients that are scheduled, walk-ins, referrals and emergencies when required by the Flight Commander, to ensure access standards are met during deployments, unscheduled absences, or when limited technician staffing dictates. Period of performance will be for a base plus 4 option years contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561320. This requirement is a planned Hubzone set-aside. Firms responding to this announcement should indicate whether they are or are not a small business concern or a small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1.
