Description
The purpose of this web posting is to solicit offers for the subject project. Full project details are available for download from this website, including the Request for Offers (RFO)--which contains contract clauses and requirements for submitting an offer--and the Technical Specification. - Davis Bacon Act wage rates apply. - Estimated total value: Between $30,000 and $40,000. - The NAICS Code for this project will be 236220. - There is a MANDATORY site visit on August 5, 2009 at 9:00 AM local time. - OFFERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM local time on August 17, 2009. J002 - Technical Specification - DTFANM-09-R-00118 - Landscape & Concrete Installation Oakland ARTCC.pdf This project covers the requirements for all work associated with the TAB E concrete and landscape improvements project at the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center in Fremont, CA. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment in strict accordance with the referenced project specifications, drawings, and applicable FAA standards. All materials and equipment not indicated in the specification as GFM, shall be supplied by the Contractor. SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY: Perform the following scope of work, in strict adherence with the specifications and FAA standards: 1.Concrete Basketball Pad - Remove existing 21' x 21' pad. Replace with new reinforced concrete. 2.Concrete Walkways - Remove existing 5' wide concrete walkway from deck to basketball pad and replace with new reinforced concrete. Also install new 5' wide reinforced concrete walkway from deck to sidewalk. 3.Sidewalk with wheelchair ramp - Remove existing 4' wide by 38' long sidewalk and curb. Replace with new 54" sidewalk and curb with ADA compliant wheelchair ramp as shown in sketch #3. Also remove tree root and asphalt in parking area next to sidewalk and repair with hot asphalt patch. 4.Play Areas - Remove existing play areas, prep and restore areas as required;-Area 1, approx 44' long and 22' across. Remove rubberized material, concrete border, gravel and sand. Place new amended soil and grass sod to match existing grass.-Area 2, approx 11' long and 11' across. Remove sand. Place reinforced concrete dowelled to existing concrete-Area 3, approx 43' long and 11' across. Remove rubberized material, concrete border, gravel and sand. Place new amended soil and grass sod to match existing grass. (Part of this area will be used as the new sidewalk)-Install various fill-in pieces to complete sidewalk path. (ie; transition from 10' wide sidewalk to 4'wide side walkway, Small piece in side walkway, transition piece between play area 2 and rock near fence) 5.Sidewalk - Remove approx 55' long existing 4' wide sidewalk. Remove 11' section of curb. Remove grass as required. Install new reinforced 10' wide concrete sidewalk from parking area to rock-fill at fence line. Provide ADA compliant ramp from asphalt to sidewalk with curbs at each side of the ramp. 6.Landscaping - Install grass as stated. Install sprinklers to augment the existing sprinkler system so as to cover the new grass areas. Provide adjustments and changes as needed to the sprinkler system to insure full coverage of the entire back area. Increase the soil level at the building foundation to help rain water to drain away from the building (adjust the sprinkler heights as needed). Install gutter downspout ends to bottom of the downspouts to move water away from the building (typical of 4). Install new concrete splash blocks (typical of 4). Install two new additional downspouts and 2 additional concrete splash blocks.
