- Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service (FMS) has awarded purchase order TFMS-HQ-09-P-0072, for the delivery of Aquatite, dense black ink. A total quantity of 25 gallons (5 pails, 5 gallons each) was ordered, at a total dollar value of $1,364.75. The ink is used to print return address along with other identification information on Treasury check envelopes and related inserts for check mailings at FMS’ Regional Finance Center in Austin, TX. Based on the dollar value of the award, the procurement was completed as a micro-purchase using guidelines set forth in FAR 13.202(2), Purchase Guidelines, which do not require the soliciting of non-competitive quotations for micro purchases. Pricing was negotiated on a fixed price basis and the order was awarded in the same manner.
