- Description
- The Office of Naval Research (ONR) Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) program has established Centers of Excellence (COEs) in various technology areas in order to assist in the selection, development, and execution, of ManTech Projects. These COEs serve as focal points for the development and technology transfer of new and or improved manufacturing processes or products. Navy ManTech has a requirement for an ongoing effort to develop, advance and deploy electro-optics science and technology through a dedicated Electro-Optics Manufacturing Technology Center (EOMTC). A solicitation and subsequent contract to continue the effort is anticipated. The requirement includes: (1) Manage and operate the EOMTC; (2) Organize, facilitate and execute a electro-optics industry-driven project selection process focused on the needs of key Navy acquisition programs; (3) Award and manage technical projects approved by the ONR Program Officer; (4) Provide support of special projects relating to the COE mission, as required; (5) Accomplish the missions assigned by the ONR ManTech Division to the EOMTC; (6) Plan, coordinate and conduct outreach activities and projects to increase awareness of the EOMTC and disseminate associated technology. The EOMTC is currently operated by the Pennsylvania State University under contract N00014-05-D-0275. A copy of the solicitation will be attached to this pre-solicitation notice through FedBizOps. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
