- Description
- The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 N. Point PKWY suite 10, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976 for maintenance on a TSQ Quantum System, Surveyor MS pump, and a Finnigan Surveyor Autosampler. Service includes unlimited emergency on-site visits for problem resolution with 72 hour or less response time, 1 preventive maintenance visit at the customer’s site, unlimited telephone support, factory-certified replacement repair parts (non-consumable) for the on-site emergency visits, 2 hour technical support response time, automatic case logging, software updates and access to available online support resources. This support will be provided for a 1 year service agreement. This award will be made utilizing simplified acquisition procedures under FAR subpart 13.5. Award will be based on meeting the requirement listed above. All interested parties must submit a technical proposal that demonastrates capability to provide support services for the Thermo Electron TSQ Quantum system and components within 7 days after date of this publication. All quotes must include detailed literature on ability and resources to perform this service. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and have completed Online Representations and Certifications as required by FAR 4.1201 prior to award. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available. If no affirmative written responses are received, negotiations will be held with Thermo Electron without further notice. This acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is July 22, 2009.
