- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, has a project entitled "Erect Pre-Engineered Metal Storage Building" at the USDAS, ARS, Cropping Systems and Nematology Research Facility, Jackson, Tennessee location. The work includes but is not limited to: Removal of trees and stumps, soil excavation and fill, relocation of an existing underground power feed, erection of a pre-engineered metal building frame a with roof and limited wall panels, concrete spread footings, installation of power service to the new structure, installation of granular paving. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program with emphasis for small business. The NAICS Code is 236220, with a size standard of $13 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-09-0004 is scheduled for release on July 21, 2009, interested contractors are to submit their requests for a bid package to: USDA, ARS, MSA, Procurement Office, P. O. Box 225, Stoneville, MS 38776, or fax a request to 662/686-5468 or by email to terry.krutz@ars.usda.gov. The request must include a street mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and email address if available to receive one copy of the solicitation, drawings and specifications. No calls will be accepted. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. CT. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bid will be due by 3:00 p.m. on August 25, 2009. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
