- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number M67854-09-Q-4749 is issued as a request for quotation and is solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 423430 and size standard of $6.5. The U.S. Marine Corps, Defense Message System has a requirement for EMC Replication Manager Server Host, EMC Replication Manager for Snapview/Window 31 Host, and EMC Software Support for One Year. The Period of Performance is August 15, 2009 through August 14, 2010. Offerors proposing to furnish 'equal' services shall insert the following description for the product: Manufacturer's Name; Address; Product name and Catalogue Description. Offerors shall be responsible for submitting all additional information on the above requirement necessary for the Government to determine whether it meets the salient specifications of the "brand name" as listed in the solicitation. The resulting purchase order shall be awarded to the technically acceptable quotation with the lowest evaluated price. All responsible sources that can meet the requirement may respond to this solicitation by submitting a quotation addressed to Mohamed Elmi, Contracting Officer, Marine Corps Systems Command, Information Systems & Infrastructure, no later than July 13, 2009 at 12:00pm.
