Description
The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus on July 6, 2009, for proposals to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, fuel, and rentals at the Lake Crescent, Fairholme, and Hurricane Ridge areas within Olympic National Park. The existing Concession Contracts between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expire on October 31, 2009, and December 31, 2009, or when a new Contract is awarded, whichever occurs first. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concession Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, California 94607 no later than ninety-one (91) days from July 6, 2009, in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. The prospectus will be issued on July 6, 2009, for a 91-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due on October 5, 2009, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. Prospectus packages will be available by contacting Kim Gagliolo, Concession Management Analyst, Pacific West Region, Concession Management, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, California 94607. Telephone inquiries may be directed to 510-817-1368. Additionally, the prospectus will also be available for review, after July 6, 2009, at http://concessions.nps.gov/news.cfm. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the prospectus from the website please notify Kim Gagliolo, so you can be placed on a mailing list to receive modifications and other correspondence. A site visit has been scheduled for July 28, 2009, if you would like to participate in the site visit you must RSVP to Kim Gagliolo (510-817-1368 or kim_gagliolo@nps.gov) or Lisa Hilt (360-565-3007 or lisa_hilt@nps.gov) for additional information regarding time and location and to reserve a spot.
