- RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W911RZ-09-B-0007. The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Carson intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the restoration and modernization of Building 1650 at Fort Carson, Colorado. The result of this IFB will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract with an anticipated award date of September 2009. The Government intends to award a single contract. The anticipated issuance date for this IFB is on or about 03 August 2009. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the IFB package. The period of performance is estimated to be a base period only. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1 million and $5 million. The requirement is 100% set-aside for Certified HUBZone Business Concerns. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5M. The majority of this work is considered construction work and Davis-Bacon requirements will apply. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds at the project level. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov and the Army Acquisition Business Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Interested offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any amendments. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective offerors who would like their company name included on the Bidders Mailing List may do so on the FBO website under the Interested Vendors List tab. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/proposal preparation costs. This project will be funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds. This project consists of restoring and modernizing Building 1650 to include upgrades throughout to include new communications, sufficient power distribution, lighting, HVAC Repairs, windows, interior/exterior doors, security system, suspended ceiling panels, tile floors, restroom remodels, paint throughout, and general utility upgrades.
