- Cable Reterm Set Parts The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (RIDS) (cage 94404), Portsmouth, RI 02871. The procurement is for the MH-60 AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) Intermediate Level Support Equipment. This requirement is for the ALFS Reeling Machine (RM) Test Bench Support Equipment and an Option for the ALFS Cable Retermination Equipment. The ALFS RMTB Support Equipment includes a quantity of one of the following: Reeling Machine Test Bench P/N 56948023, Reeling Machine (RM) P/N 44040270AB01, Reel and Cable assembly P/N 44035962AA01, Reeling Machine Interface Unit (RMIU) P/N 44040272AG01, RM Control Unit (RMCU) P/N 61182480AA01, RSL Testing Plug P/N 44040321, Special Socket P/N 44003647, Fork Adjustment Tool P/N 44037563, and Friction Control Tool P/N 47043847.The Options include quantity one of the Reeling Machine Test Bench Support equipment and a quantities 1-3 each for the Cable Retermination Support equipment (see attachment). A Logistics Package and training are also required. The proposed acquisition is for a sonar system for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the ALFS are proprietary to Raytheon Company, Portsmouth, RI and their subcontractors. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this support equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
