SOLICITATION NO: 1057317-1 AMENDMENT NO: One (1) The purpose of this amendment is to advise prospective offerors of the opportunity to submit “or equal” products for consideration in response to this solicitation for an ammonia acid analyzer. Accordingly, the salient characteristics for the analyzer are listed below: (1ea) - Instrument for Protein Hydrolysates capable of: •3-um particles for high speed, high resolution analyses •Compact Design, Flexible Reporting •Standard Ninhydirn System •Uninterruptible Power Supply for backup power •USB Communication Instrument shall include: (1)Amino Acid Analyzer •PH Standard Analysis Column •Standard Ammonia Column •Reaction Column •Main Unit with User Manual •Hitachi Elite (EZ Chrom Elite) software (1) AAA Guard Column (1) Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) 10 min of backup power (2) External Batteries for UPS (four hours of backup power) (1) UPS for Computer (1) Dell Optiplex Windows XP Professional SP2 (1) Dell 17” Flat Panel Monitor (1) Clear Vials, Caps, and Pre-Slit Teflon/Silicon Septa (100ea/pk) (1) uL (Glass) Inserts with Polyspring for Snap-it Vials (100/pk) (1ea) – AAA PH Starter Kit to include buffers to run approximately 600 samples: •(7) PH-1 BUFFER •(2) PH-2 BUFFER •(2) PH-3 BUFFER •(5) PH-4 BUFFER •(2) PH-5 BUFFER (1ea) – Ninhydrin Reagent Kit, 2 pack (approximately 220 PH samples – std col/210 samples- special col; 70 PF samples) (1ea) – Signa-Aldrich Standard Sample for AAA PH (1ea) – Laser Printer (Black and White) with USB and Parallel Printer Cables ****INSTALLATION AND TRAINING The closing date for this solicitation is 7 July 2009, by 1:00 p.m. EST, local prevailing time in Atlanta, GA at the Food and Drug Administration, ATTN: Thomas Dumas, 60 8th Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
