- Description
- The Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD) is announcing the release of a DRAFT Request For Proposal (RFP) number: DTMA8R09011, for National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF)/Ready Reserve Force (RRF). Ship Manager Services is available on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage, (https://www.fbo.gov/). MARAD intends to issue a RFP number: DTMA8R09011, for the operation and maintenance of eleven (11) NDRF/RRF vessels. The vessels are as follows: Algol, Altair, Antares, Bellatrix, Capella, Denebola, Pollux, Regulus, Pacific Collector, Pacific Tracker and Cape Jacob. The following three vessels: Algol, Capella, and Cape Jacob will be a small business set aside. MARAD anticipates the contract to be awarded will be a fixed- priced with cost reimbursables, contract length, to consist of one (1) two year-eight month base period and one (1) two year option period. Performance is anticipated to begin on or about 01 October 2010. The RFP package anticipated to be posted 02 July 2009 is considered a DRAFT only. The Government is currently awaiting final approval of the RFP. Once final approval is received on the RFP, the final RFP will be issued. Interested parties may download a copy of the Draft RFP by going to the FBO website https://www.fbo.gov/. Please check the website frequently for updates to the schedule, library, and other applicable program information. Offerors are advised to begin reviewing the solicitation/RFP package at this time; questions and comments are welcome Interested parties are invited to submit questions and/or comments regarding to the draft solicitation by no later than 2:00pm on July 17, 2009.to jill.kline@dot.gov. The Government anticipates that the final RFP will only be open for 30 days once it is officially released. Offerors are advised to begin preparations based on this Draft RFP number: DTMA8R09011. Any changes to the terms and conditions between this draft and the final RFP will clearly be identified when the final RFP is released.
