- DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intent to sole source with VICON MOTION SYSTEM. This sole source basis pursuant to VAAR 873 & 38 USC 8153 and FAR 6.302-1 for the Vicon MX System; this equipment is needed for the Upper Extremity Initiative of the RR&D funded Brain Rehabilitation Research Center (BRRC). BRRC currently has a Vicon motion system for its Human Motor Performance Lab for locomotors evaluation, and this addition will extend the use for upper extremity participants. BRRC currently has software, accessories, and equipment currently owned by the HMPL Core of the BRRC for the locomotors initiative; which, will share with the existing equipment. Purchasing from the same vendor will limit our expenses by joining it with the existing system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 334510. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than July 12, 2009 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to shirley.courtney@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
