- The Asheville VAMC, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in construction to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision for maintenance to the exterior of the Buildings 11, 12, 14, and 15 at the Asheville VAMC, NC. All work shall be completed within 240 days after notice to proceed, which includes 60 days allowance for submittals. The NAICS code is 236220; small business size is $33.5M. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specifications on/or about 17 Jul 09. No hard copies provided. Pre-bid/walk-through is scheduled for 22 Jul 09 at 1400hrs, only one will be offered at the same time to all interested parties and will be at bldg. 15, 3rd floor, rm 330. Bid opening will be on/or about 17 Jul 09 and the deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior. Firms must be registered at Central Contractor Registry and at Vet Biz and Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening. Specifics on the project are as follows: This project includes, but is not limited to such services as power washing, sandblasting, tuckpointing brick, waterproofing, caulking, scraping and painting wood trim (including lead abatement) and metal handrails, and repairing copper downspout and gutters,. Project will involve lifts and/or scaffolding and contractor must meet all OSHE and VA criteria for safety. All work will be in accordance with professionally developed drawings and specifications.
