- Description
- The purpose of this contract is for the reconstruction of parts of the Gravelly Creek picnic area. Work includes demolition and disposal of a picnic shelter, pit toilet, and three sets of gravel stairs, and construction of aggregate trails, vault toilet, pit toilet, earthen stairs, picnic shelter with concrete pad, and two new picnic sites. Option items include construction of picnic tables and a paved parking area. The project area is located on the Thorne Bay Ranger District on Prince of Wales Island within the Tongass National Forest. The site is approximately 3.5 miles west of the town of Thorne Bay along SR925 (Thorne Bay Road), Southeast Alaska. Prince of Wales Island is accessible via charter airlines, Alaska’s Inter-Island Ferry (IFA), and commercial barge lines. The nearest full service city is Ketchikan, Alaska. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The performance period is within 360 days after Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website on or about 7/14/09 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-09-0112. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. <><> AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project. In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
