Description
The Asheville VAMC, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in construction to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision to Renovate Emergency Department (ED) Phase 1 at the Asheville VAMC, NC. All work shall be completed within 270 days after notice to proceed, which includes 60 days allowance for submittals. The NAICS code is 236220; small business size is $33.5M. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specifications on/or about 17 Jul 09. No hard copies provided. Pre-bid/walk-through is scheduled for 23 Jul 09 at 1400hrs, only one will be offered at the same time to all interested parties and will be at bldg. 15, 3rd floor, rm 330. Bid opening will be on/or about 17 Aug 09 and the deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior. Firms must be registered at Central Contractor Registry and at Vet Biz and Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening. Specifics on the project are as follows: This project will renovate the area behind the existing Emergency Department for increased emergency exam rooms and workspace. Work includes, but not limited to, demolition of sheetrock/metal stud walls, ceilings, flooring, and utilities. New construction include constructing sheetrock/metal stud walls, new acoustic ceiling/grid, VCT flooring, sliding glass doors on each exam room, constructing a nurse station, etc. Work includes installation of a nurse call station, relocation of med gas panel, data outlets, electrical outlets, lighting, and modification of HVAC supply/return grills and ductwork. All work will be in accordance with professionally developed drawings and specifications.
