- Solicitation AG-82X9-S-09-0207 s for the Copper King Mine Removal Action and Public Safety Closure Project. The Copper King Mine is an abandoned uranium mine located at the headwaters of the North Lone Pine Creek Watershed. The site has three waste rock piles, a large wooden headframe and hoist-house, three shafts, and five exploration pits ranging in depth from 3-10 feet. During the performance of this project the cribbing, headframe, and hoist house will be dismantled and material buried on site; the waste rock piles will be pulled back from the county road, capped, and revegetated; and fencing and barricades to control OHV travel and protect wetlands shall be installed. The Copper King Mine is located in the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest in Section 8, Township 10N, Range 72W, 6th Prime Meridian. The project is located in Larimer County, Colorado. The site is located directly adjacent to the Prairie Divide Road (Larimer County Road 179) approximately 25 miles NW of Fort Collins, Colorado. The on-site project time for this project is approximately 120 calendar days. There will be a preproposal meeting held for this project. The meeting will be announced in the solicitation as well as an amendment to this presolicitation notice. This contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply to this project. This project is set aside for Hubzone Business Concerns in accordance with FAR 19.1305. The Government estimated range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated solicitation issuance date for this project is on or around July 14, 2009. The anticipated due date for offers is August 14, 2009. These dates are subject to change. The dates will be confirmed in the solicitation package and any amendment issued to the solicitation. All Offerors who submit a proposal for this project must be registered to the Central Contractor’s Registry (CCR) in accordance with FAR 52.204-7 and must have completed Representations and Certifications (ORCA) in accordance with FAR 52.204-8. Offerors who fail to register to CCR and complete ORCA will not be considered for award. All Offeror’s must respond to the required evaulation criteria of the solicitation to be considered for award. All offerors must reply to all evaluation critiera included in Section M of the solicitation package as well as submit one copy of the Return this Copy solicitation package in order to be considered responsive to the solicitation.
