- In accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation and Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Water Supply Improvements - New Well at Kings Mountain National Military Park, Blacksburg, South Carolina. This project will provide a new drinking water well in the residential and maintenance areas of the park. It also includes new pump, valves, electrical supply, controls, testing, permits and all appurtenances necessary for complete operation. This expansion of the water supply for the park will be piped and connected to the existing water system. This requirement is NOT a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237110; the size standard is $33.5 million. Estimated price range: between $250,000 and $500,000. Tentative issue date of the Solicitation is July 6, 2009. There will be a Pre-Bid meeting held for this project at the site. The date and time for the meeting will be provided in the solicitation. All interested parties desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the following websites -The Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) - http://ideasec.nbc.gov/ and the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) - http://www.ccr.gov.
