- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department intends to issue a firm fixed price order for commercial supplies and services utilizing the procedures under FAR Part 8.4, Federal Supply Schedules, FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The basis for the use of other than full and open competition is that Jet Dock Systems, Inc., the proposed source, is the only source capable of providing a modular floating dock system capable of sustaining the weight of the Maritime Force Pre-Positioning Utility Boats. The applicable NAICS Code is 488310; the small business size standard is $25.5M. The contractor shall provide the following open market items in conjunction with the Federal Supply Schedule order: lift package for a custom dock, an aluminum gangway, and labor services to install the dock. The anticipated delivery date is sixty days following contract award. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within five days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open basis based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
