Description
Request for Quotation - Q7355090010 - Small Business Set Aside - Conservation of Wallpaper in the Texas White House First Floor at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park located in Stonewall, Texas. The 28-room Texas White House is undergoing restoration so that it can open to the public in phases. The Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park is overseeing this work. The house has 6 rooms on the first floor with wallpaper. In addition to the minimun treatment requirements for each room, the contractor must complete work by October 2009 deadline. Contractor must be professionally-trained paper/wallpaper conservator with proven experience in wallpaper restoration and installation in fragile and historic structures. Contractor must make photographic record before, during and after treatment and provide written treatment report to Park with images prior to payment being made, Contractor shall treat existing wallpaper in-situ, surface clean all walls, protect and maintain the historic fabric of the structure, including wall coverings, floor coverings, architectural details, furnishings, etc. from any damage, e.g. scratches, gouges, breaks, tears, drips from any materials used and clean up work area. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price contract with a performance period of 30 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code for this project is 541990 with a small business size standard of $6.5 Million. Contractors are urged to visit the site for a complete understanding of existing work conditions. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government. To be considered resonsive, offerors must complete the experience, general references, and past performance questionaires, which will be attached to the solicitation. The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 14, 2009 with a bid opening date of approximately 21 days following issuance. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted.
