- Description
- The Rock Island Contracting Center, U.S. Army Contracting Command is seeking interested sources for the proposed procurement of Hot Dip Galvanizing MK-79 Steel Pallets. These pallets are to be galvanized to meet ASTM-A123/A123M standards. Contractor will give special attention to all stenciled areas on pallet to insure a legible stencil after galvanizing. Current projected quantity is 1,700 sets. For this procurement the Government will be utilizing a Request for Quote (RFQ). Proposed method of procurement is restriction to the HUBZone contractors under the authority of FAR 19. The MK-79 Pallets consist of a top and bottom frame and weigh 314 pounds per set. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute an RFQ and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 332812. McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) will deliver and pick up pallets. Contractors shall be within 200 miles driving distance of McAlester, OK. We are seeking HUBZone sources at this time. Any information provided by industry to the government as a result of this sources sought is voluntary. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought. The government requests interested parties to submit a brief description of their company (business size, business status i.e., HUBZone) and a description of similar services offered to the government and to commercial customers. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be issued, nor will respondents be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received. Responses are required by 2:00 PM EST on 16 July 2009.
