To Whom It May Concern: The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command is issuing this, Sources Sought Market Survey, for a potential requirement for a Purging Kit. Contractor responses to this market survey are for information and planning purposes only. This market survey does not constitute a request for proposal nor is it to be construed as a commitment by TACOM to purchase or pursue the materials and services offered. Responses are voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Nothing contained herein should be regarded as basis upon which to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government. TACOM is conducting market research for a potential requirement for a Purging Kit. This requirement includes the following: Purging kits consist of essential material and capability items that enable efficient purging at the field and sustainment maintenance levels of vehicle weapon fire control systems. Purging kits purge these systems of air and moisture contaminants that accumulate during missions. The components are generally commercial off the shelf items. The kit consists of the following items: Nipple; Two Stage Regulator; Valve, Extension; Extension Valve; Hose Assembly; Valve Connection; Valve, Relief with Deflector Cap. All components must have the capability of resupply to the front line soldier. The components must be assembled in a specified container to a specific requirement. Contractors should assume that place of contract Performance will be in the United States of America This letter is not intended as a solicitation of any proposal and submissions of an, unsolicited proposal, based on this announcement will not be given consideration. Please indicate your companys type of business [large, small, small-disadvantaged, women-owned, or 8(a)]? Is your company located in a labor or surplus area or Hub-zone (See FAR 19 Small Business Programs)? 4. HUBZone small business responders shall ensure they could comply with the, Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside, clause 51.219-3, which would be included in a total HUBZone set-aside solicitation/contract, see: http://farsite.hill.af.mil/reghtml/regs/far2afmcfars/fardfars/far/52_215.htm#P1077_182186. Note the last sentence. Many small business firms responding to this requirement may be a small business, kit assembler,or a small business non-manufacturer. The end of the HUBZone set-aside clause above says, A HUBZone sb concern nonmanufacturer agrees to furnish in performing this contract only end items manufactured or produced by HUBZone small business manufacturer concerns. This paragraph does not apply in connection with construction or service contracts.
