- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, New York is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Construct and/or Repair Field Latrines, Fort Drum, New York. The successful contractor shall furnish all supervision, plant, labor, material and equipment necessary to perform all operations in connection with the construction of new and/or repair of existing field latrines located on Fort Drum, New York in accordance with the statement of work, specifications and drawings. Principal features include: Construct New Field Latrine on Existing Septic Vault: demolition of structural elements of existing field latrine except septic vault, provide and install precast concrete field latrine utilizing existing septic vault; Construct New Field Latrine: clear, grub, and grade to facilitate construction of field latrine as necessary, provide and install precast concrete field latrine with new septic vault; Rock Drilling & Blasting: while excavating for new septic tank installation; Replacement of Field Latrine Roof; Replacement of Field Latrine Toilet; Miscellaneous Repair in Field Latrine; and Demolition of Field Latrine: door hardware, toilet seat, door, urinal. The contract type shall be a Requirements Construction Contract with Firm Fixed Unit Prices (per FAR Subpart 16.503 -- Requirements Contracts) with Options (per FAR Subpart 17.2 Options) with a three-year (base year and two one-year option periods) value estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is 100% set-aside for certified HUBZone Small Business Concerns under the authority of FAR Subpart 19.13 Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $33,500,000. Any correspondence concerning this acquisition shall reference IFB No. W911S2-09-B-8000 in the subject line. The anticipated issue/posting date shall be on or about 15 July 2009. The due date for the solicitation shall be 30 days after actual issuance/posting on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. All responsible HUBZone Small Business Concerns may submit a bid, which shall be considered. The IFB and any subsequent amendments shall only be available electronically by accessing ASFI at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. No hard copies shall be provided. All sources wishing to bid are required to monitor the ASFI website for any/all amendments to the solicitation. No electronic bids shall be accepted. The IFB must be submitted in hard copy form to the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, New York.
